General Landscaping LLC is a full-service company offering complete
grounds maintenance, design and installation. We provide service to a wide variety of both commercial and residential properties and have been doing business in Glastonbury and the greater Hartford area for over 40 years.
Our maintenance division started the company and today continues to be the backbone and has grown to provide a wide variety of services.
We remain a locally owned
and operating company with a reputation built on service. Our staff is comprised of a team of experienced professionals, knowledgeable in their fields, and committed to providing our clients with the high quality and responsive service they expect.
Jeff Pell: Founder, Owner and CEO
Jeff started General Landscaping in 1978, which began as a continuation of his high school mowing business. Through hard work and determination, along with the help of many dedicated longtime employees, he has developed the business into one of the area's leading landscape companies. Jeff is involved daily in all aspects of the business.
He oversees planning, sales, scheduling and continues to run and work with the landscape crews.
Gail Melzen: Office Manager and Financial Officer
Gail has been with the company since 1983 taking part in much of the growth and planning throughout the years. She is an avid gardener and has been a Connecticut Nursery Landscape Certified Professional since 2002.
Joe Elliott: Mulch Division Manager, Sales and Estimating
Joe has been with General Landscaping since 1997. He started working in our mowing division and transitioned into development and management of the mulch truck division. He currently is also involved in the planning and daily operations of the company.
Paul Lechowicz: Hardscape Division Manager and Project Estimator
Paul has been with General Landscaping since 2002. He is a member of the National Concrete Masonry Association as well as ICPI certified. Paul is hard at work in the field every day.
Jarrod Sansoucy: Lead Designer and Project Manager
Jarrod has been with General Landscaping since 2003. He is an award-winning designer, an active member of the Manchester Garden Club, G-bury Partners in Planting and the APLD. He has taught landscape and gardening classes through G-bury Adult Ed and is a regular speaker at Woodland Gardens.
Steven Brenza: Lead Mow Crew Foreman
Steven has been with General Landscaping since 1999. He is our main foreman for all of the mowing operations. He is a key part of our daily mowing operations of all our properties.
Alberto Martinez: Landscape Foreman
Alberto has been with General Landscaping since 1992. Al being the longest employee at General, he has seen both the industry change and the company grow. Al is a huge part of our day-to-day operations out in the landscape field.
Lou Accornero: Assistant Mulch Foreman
Lou has been with General Landscaping since 2007. He has been a big part of the growth of the mulch division and daily operations around General from snow removal to maintenance.
Brian Mahoney: Mow Crew Foreman
Brian has been with the company since 1998. He assists Steven with the daily mowing operations, running a crew for both residential and commercial properties.
Michael Doucette: Head Mechanic
Mike has been with General Landscaping since 2012, He is an intricate part of General as he keeps all of our trucks and equipment at their best working performance to service our customers to the highest ability.
